In terms of output: In October, China’s power battery output totaled 62.8GWh, a year-on-year increase of 150.1% and a month-on-month increase of 6.2%. Among them, the output of ternary batteries was 24.2GWh, accounting for 38.6% of the total output, an increase of 163.5% year-on-year and a decrease of 0.2% month-on-month; the output of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 38.6GWh, accounting for 61.4% of the total output, an increase of 142.6% year-on-year and a month-on-month increase of 10.8%. From January to October, the cumulative output of power batteries in China was 425.9GWh, a year-on-year increase of 166.5%. Among them, the cumulative output of ternary batteries is 171.4GWh, accounting for 40.2% of the total output, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 137.9%; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 254.2GWh, accounting for 59.7% of the total output, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 190.4%.
In terms of vehicle loading: In October, China’s power battery loading volume was 30.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 98.1% and a month-on-month decrease of 3.5%. Among them, the installed capacity of ternary batteries was 10.8GWh, accounting for 35.4% of the total installed capacity, an increase of 55.2% year-on-year, and a decrease of 3.5% from the previous month; the installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 19.7GWh, accounting for 64.4% of the total installed capacity, an increase of 133.2% year-on-year, and a month-on-month increase of 19.7GWh. 3.6% lower. From January to October, the cumulative installed capacity of power batteries in China was 224.2GWh, a cumulative increase of 108.7% year-on-year. In October, a total of 40 power battery companies in China’s new energy vehicle market achieved vehicle installation, an increase of 1 from the same period last year. The top 3, top 5, and top 10 power battery companies have power battery installations of 24.6GWh, 26.6GWh, and 29.1GWh, accounting for 80.4%, 87.2%, and 95.3% of the total installed capacity, respectively. From January to October, a total of 51 power battery companies in China’s new energy vehicle market achieved vehicle installations, a decrease of 3 from the same period last year. 173.0GWh, 189.2GWh and 211.9GWh, accounting for 77.1%, 84.4% and 94.5% of the total installed capacity, respectively.
In terms of exports: In October, China’s power battery exports totaled 14.7GWh. Among them, the export volume of ternary battery is 4.3GWh, and the export volume of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) battery is 10.3GWh.
