We are proud to announce a key project breakthrough at Cestpower — the successful delivery of our first custom lithium-ion battery pack with SMBUS communication protocol for a medical equipment application. 🔋 Project Summary: 11.1V 10Ah Smart Lithium Battery Pack

The Indian client ordered a 3S5P 18650 lithium-ion battery pack with Smart BMS (Battery Management System) supporting SMBUS communication — a critical requirement for intelligent medical devices that demand real-time battery data and high safety standards.

✅ Battery Pack Specs

  • Configuration: 3S5P (3 series × 5 parallel)

  • Voltage: 11.1V nominal (compatible with 12V systems)

  • Capacity: 10Ah (2000mAh per cell × 5P)

  • Max Discharge Current: 10A continuous

  • Cell Type: High-quality INR18650, min capacity ≥ 2000mAh

  • Connector: VT3.94 terminal, custom wiring

🧠 Advanced Smart BMS with SMBUS

The integrated BMS complies with SMBUS communication protocol and is compatible with 7.4V / 11.1V / 14.8V battery configurations. It includes 5 output terminals:

  • T – 10K NTC Thermistor (temperature monitoring)

  • C – SMBUS Clock

  • D – SMBUS Data

  • P+ – Positive Output

  • P- – Negative Output

This enables precise control and real-time monitoring for medical-grade devices, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance.

🔍 Strict Cell Matching & Quality Assurance

Before pack assembly, every 18650 cell undergoes:

  • Voltage matching: ≤ 0.05V

  • Capacity tolerance: ≤ 10mAh

  • Internal resistance matching: ≤ 5mΩ

All cells are laser-welded with thick nickel strips for safe 10A current handling. Each battery is packaged with an individual box and comes with BIS certification for India market.
